Men Are From Mars

Ugggggh. Why oh why must boys be such boys! I mean seriously, chics dig dudes with confidence. We don't want someone who is constantly worrying or asking too many questions.

A friend did the hypothetical "if I were to ask you out..." scenario. So I thought WHAT THE HECK! What could it hurt? I did give the precautionary warning of "I don't want this to mess up our friendship should things not go the way one of us wants..." And of course, it was a-ok. Nothing happened between us more than a kiss - no makeout - just a kiss. And I was most definitely NOT feeling it. So I kinda backed off a bit. Then he said I was acting guarded, to which I corrected and said no, I'm trying not to lead him on. I'm not looking for anything, just going with the flow. To label it...CASUAL DATING. I thought that made the point.

NOPE!

Questions started again and I'm like ugggggh. So I made it crystal clear that we are JUST friends. And I feel like it came as a shock to him. UGH.

So now I feel kinda bad. But I can't! Because I was upfront from the get-go about how I was feeling, even shooting down the notion of "dating." Some people just don't want to hear what you're saying.
